York

Planting site 55
This property is west of York and has a history of intensive sheep and cattle grazing and cropping leaving large degraded areas.  This Water Corporation planting of 47,632 mixed biodiversity seedlings will help revegetate the property and absorb excess silts and nutrients which filter down into this low catchment area.

Watheroo

Planting site 58

This property is north of Moora and has a history of sheep grazing.  It is located in a high catchment area and the soils are very prone to wind erosion.  This planting of 15,000 mixed biodiversity seedlings will aid in preventing soil erosion, act as an important carbon sink and reduce surface water run off.

This is one of two sites on the property east of the south west town of Tambellup.  This site is subject to waterlogging which results in excess salts in the soil.  The 4,000 mixed biodiversity seedlings planted on this site will aid in reducing ground water recharge, decrease surface water run off and increase soil stability.
Tambellup
Planting site 61
This is a planting on the Tambellup property of 12,500 oil mallee seedlings.  The seedlings will also aid in maintaining the watercourse flowing through the property, providing opportunities for diversification and provide a wildlife corridor.  As the seedlings grow the benefits of revegetating will be apparent.

This property is south east of Beverley and located at the top of a catchment area.  Due to its history of cropping and grazing the vegetation is minimal which leads to wind and water erosion.  This Just Group planting of 19,640 mixed biodiversity seedlings will aid in stabilising the soil and help to reduce the likelihood of salinity in the future as well as being a carbon sink.
