- From 2007, and including certain sites planted in 2007, all Carbon Neutral Ltd plantings will have a Carbon Right (CR) and a Carbon Covenant (CC) registered on the Certificate of Title for the land on which they are planted.
- The CC & CR will be held for the term of 100 years in most cases. This means the majority of Carbon Neutral Ltd plantings comply with the Kyoto Protocol and, in any case, Carbon Neutral Ltd Plantings will sequester the carbon allocated to them over the term negotiated with the landholder.
- Carbon Neutral Ltd or its nominee will hold all CR and CC registered in the name of Carbon Neutral Ltd for the duration of the term.
- Carbon Neutral Ltd warrants that each planting it undertakes to sequester carbon will have a CR and CC lodged over it with the Register of Titles.
