Organisations wishing to contribute to Carbon Neutral can choose to do so in any or all of the following ways:

• offsetting emissions
• value-adding
• donating
• a Service Partner
• a Shooting Star
• volunteering to plant trees

* Please note that when you offset with us you can direct your payment in any of the following  ways:

Trees for Rehabilitation - these trees are allocated to sites where their main aim is land rehabilitation.  The site may have lower rainfall making carbon sequestration lower. 
Trees for Sequestration - trees allocated to sites with the main aim of carbon sequestration.
Verified Emissions Reduction (VER) - one VER equals one tonne of CO2 that is already offset. For each credit bought one tree will be planted.

The cost of offsetting emissions for organisations is $18/tonne CO2 (the minimum requirement is 20 tonnes i.e. $360).  
These organisations can then be added to 'our supporters' page according to their level of contribution. 

If you wish to calculate your business related emissions such as flights, road travel and office based emissions yourself, please contact our Business Development Executive, Annora Longhurst on 1300 851 211 or annoral@carbonneutral.com.au  to receive a copy of the calculator.  If you do not want to calculate emissions you may wish to donate funds for each product or service i.e. value add (see below). 

This arrangement allows businesses to donate to Carbon Neutral on behalf of their clients.  It is a flexible option allowing you to donate by planting a tree/trees for each product or service.  The cost can be added to the bill or your business can pay for this on their client’s behalf. 

Examples are;

• $3 for each car service
• 0.50c for each meal
• $1 per night in hotel etc.

Value add examples:  

• United Credit Union are paying to offset the first year’s average emissions for each new car loan.
• Range Ford are contributing a tree for every car sold.
• Plunkett Homes are paying to plant 105 trees for each home built.
  

This option is for organisations that have products and services that will assist our clients to reduce emissions. You will also need to:

• Pay Carbon Neutral an introduction fee (minimum $100 or 5% + gst) for new business introduced by Carbon Neutral.
• Contribute a minimum of 10 trees for each product or service.
• Sign an M.O.U. documenting the arrangement.
• A minimum initial contribution of $500 is required to be listed on the website under Service Partner.

Carbon Neutral’s Shooting Stars are donating to plant trees as sales of their products or services increase.  To become a shooting star your organisation will need to:

• Have a significant State-wide or National media campaign including the Carbon Neutral logo.
• Include a commitment to plant a tree for a selected product or service. 
• Be approved by Carbon Neutral.
